About Emily Warren
I work primarily with young adults, adults, and adolescents and I support clients in cultivating a cohesive relationship with the self and while fostering effective communication between their body, mind, and feelings. I maintain a growth-mindset and my approach is client-centered, compassionate, non-judgmental, and authentic, with a focus on empowerment and growth.
I have experience working with trauma survivors, neurodivergent people, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, addressing conditions such as autism, ADHD, personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and PTSD among others. I take an affirming approach to mental health care and strive to create a comfortable and inclusive therapeutic space that celebrates diversity, promotes acceptance, and encourages vulnerability. I practice trauma-informed care and I draw from various therapeutic modalities including DBT, attachment therapy, somatic therapy, neurodiversity-affirming care, ACT, IFS, and CBT, and more.
I earned my Master’s and Education Specialist’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University, and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Asheville. I am a passionate advocate for those with mental health conditions and engage in anti-stigma efforts, outreach, and psychoeducation in and outside of a workplace setting. When I am not at the office you can find me spending time in nature, taking photos, spending time with my friends, traveling, and playing with my pets.
While this information allows you to get to know me a little, counseling is actually all about you! I collaborate with each person to create personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific goals, providing the necessary education, resources, and support for meaningful change. If you think I could help with your therapy needs, feel free to reach out and we can discuss how I might be able to support you personally.
